Stony Brook Midterm Fire Drills
Many first midterms of the semester were held
this week at Stony Brook. I heard that people
pulled the fire alarms that canceled tests twice,
once yesterday and one this morning. I'm sure
the university is taking this matter seriously
and is investigating.

NJ Governor overrules state climatologist
Governor Ruth Ann Minner (no credentials)
is upset that scientist David R. Legates (professor,
university of Delaware, and until now, state climatologist
for the state of Delaware) has said that global
warming is "climate alarmism." She has now forbidden
him to use the "state climatologist" title because
his views disagree with her administration.

heard of AIDS
More than 40 percent of women in India have
not heard of AIDS, according to a government survey
that has alarmed activists. India has 5.7 million
people living with HIV/AIDS, according to the
United Nations, which is the world's highest caseload.

Four Rapes Five Victims: America Sexual
Violence Problem
Four first grade boys were raped while in
school. Little is known about the 12 year old
victimizer, but studies show he must have been
victimized prior to his attacks. An alarming number
of sexual assaults are committed by young children.
This problem is the result of social developments
